Managing Director of Healthcare, Dr. Tara Sharif Discusses Recent Trends in Bio-Pharma Investments at “GetPersonalized” Summit in Helsinki
Dr. Tara Sharif, WestPark Capital’s Managing Director of Healthcare Investment Banking, participated in a panel discussion at the “GetPersonalized” Summit in Helsinki, Finland on May 25, 2015.
The summit is a meeting hub for hundreds of international investors, growth entrepreneurs, public decision-makers and corporate representatives. Many of them have growing interest in the healthcare sector.
Dr. Sharif, whose area of expertise is biotechnology and life sciences, discussed recent bio-pharma investment trends, breakthroughs and innovation solutions, personalized medicine and sector merger activities. Panel was moderated by Dr. Juha Kere of Karolinska Institutet (Sweden).
Besides Dr. Sharif, other panelists included Dr. Katrien Swerts, Manager New Ventures, VIB (Belgium) and Dr. Jonathan Knowles, Professor at FIMM, former Head of Group Research, Roche (Finland/Switzerland).
