WestPark Capital Announces Hiring of Managing Director and Senior Communications Equipment Research Analyst Michael Genovese

LOS ANGELES — (BUSINESS WIRE) — WestPark Capital, a full-service investment bank and broker-dealer announced the hiring of Michael Genovese in the position of Managing Director and Senior Research Analyst, Communications Equipment. Michael is well known and widely regarded by institutional investors and companies alike as a top analyst covering the optical systems, optical components and broadband access industries. He has deep knowledge of Telecom and Networking technologies and trends. He is well respected for his extensive industry network and thorough, accurate channel checks and has more than 20 years of experience. “We are pleased to have an Analyst of Michael’s caliber join the firm,” said WestPark Capital’s Chairman and CEO Richard Rappaport. “We are investing in our Institutional Research, Sales and Trading platform, with a focus on the Technology sectors, and we look forward to adding more highly regarded members to the team in the near future.” Michael previously worked in equity research and investment management at MKM Partners, Citigroup and Alliance Bernstein. He also spent several years in the Strategy and Market Intelligence group of Ciena Corporation. Michael received an M.A. from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and a B.A. with High Honors from Swarthmore College.
